Physiotherapy
All our physiotherapists are registered with Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore. We are healthcare professionals specialising in treating patients with movement disorders in accordance with the professional practice guidelines and standards.
As physiotherapists, we help to maintain the health of our clients of all ages. We help to restore movement and function when patients are affected by injury, illness or disabiliy. Physiotherapy is a form of treatment that can safely be used with other medical procedures.
Types of Physiotherapy Services
- Musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Physio treatments to disorders of the musculoskeletal system which includes our bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, spinal discs and nerves. It involves manipulation of postures, specific exercises, etc to treat an injury and
regain the strength and motion of a specific body part. Musculoskeletal physiotherapy is part of orthopedic physiotherapy.
- Sports physiotherapy to treat sports injuries, normally caused by repeat “micro traumas.”
- Pediatric physiotherapy. Special infant care till age 19 yrs old.
- Geriatric physiotherapy. The focus is on the health and well-being of older people and supporting them to achieve their health and well-being goals.
- Occupational physiotherapy. To improve functional abilities in everyday life.
- Agility and balance training. Therapeutic exercises that contain posture awareness, vestibular exercise and motor function training.
- Manual therapy. Deep tissue massage and remedial massage.
- Heat therapy. To increase blood flow by dilating blood vessels.
- Patient education. Teaching, demonstrations, analogies or word pictures to explain concepts with teaching tools.
- Pain management. In the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of pain.
